Assalam u alaikum wr wb,

Today what I want to talk about is the reflection on some ayahs of surah Al-Araf.
Surah Al-Araf,

Ayah 38:
[ Allah ] will say, “Enter among nations which had passed on before you of jinn and mankind into the Fire.” Every time a nation enters, it will curse its sister until, when they have all overtaken one another therein, the last of them will say about the first of them “Our Lord, these had misled us, so give them a double punishment of the Fire. He will say, “For each is double, but you do not know.”

Each one of a man who goes astray by choice also misleads all who follows them blindly. In the above ayah it is clear that each soul will have to carry out the burdens of itself on the day where all will have to answer for what they have done in this world. It is also quite clear that making the kind of excuses that because we saw someone else doing it we did it will do nobody no good as they also made a way through for those who come afterwards . It is more likely that none actually used their reason when it comes to their religion. It won’t matter because they will all be in the same place enduring same kind of punishment. Quite shocking and scary ayah.
Reflection: Sometimes we do good and sometimes we portray the good in such a way that instead of leaving good impact it leaves a rather negative impact. Making impression thus also matters where religion is concerned because if somebody follows you for good it’ll reward you and if somebody is a container which you are leading towards a sin then you are also responsible. It wouldn’t matter in the punishment but it would matter in the society and it could create a havoc without an individual knowing.

Ayah 42, 43:
But those who believed and did righteous deeds – We charge no soul except [within] its capacity. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.

And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [while] flowing beneath them are rivers. And they will say, “Praise to Allah , who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth.” And they will be called, “This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do.”

Notes & Reflections: These two ayahs actually made me go teary. A human is made weak , they are right and they are wrong. They are strong and they are weak. Humans are made vitiate in many ways , they are not perfect . All of us need time and space for things to grow around us , all of us needs support. This is a human nature, a fact also actually. Therefore this world is not at peace at large and an abode of paradise is made for that purpose.

A little comparison
World: Humans weak and houses not at peace.
Paradise: Humans no longer weak but humble and largely at peace.

Righteous deeds with the purity and refinement extracts Allah’s mercy and it’s opposite happens when bad deeds are done and with impure intentions.

May Allah makes us among those are the ones to whom Allah’s mercy is bestowed and May he takes us to paradise and removes the hell fire’s punishment from us until the last of our days. Ameen.
Jazak Allah hu khayr for reading.
